AAE
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Created in 1958 and modernised in 1998 under a convention between the Institut National des Sciences de l’Univers (INSU) and the University of Addis Ababa. It was operated by the Institute of Geophysics, Space Science and Astronomy (IGSSA). Following the opening of a 17-kilometre new light-train line in Addis Ababa in September 2015, AAE ceased magnetic recordings.
